Who can trade
opcode lists tokens from xStocks, Backpack Securities and Robinhood. Trading requires opcode's access checks and eligibility under the selected issuer's terms; the issuers' rights and restrictions are not interchangeable.
Who cannot trade
opcode currently blocks trading for residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or Australia, and for anyone subject to sanctions. Its access policy may add other restrictions. This shared policy does not establish that every listed issuer uses the same rules. Read the selected issuer's disclosures: the xStocks product and legal overview or Backpack's securities overview and applicable product terms.
Anyone can look at markets, prices and these docs. The restriction applies to quotes on both routes, to pool deposits and withdrawals, and to Launch tokens paired with a stock token.
What you are asked
After you sign in, and before your first quote or pool transaction, the ticket shows Before your first quote: five short product disclosures, then:
- Your country of residence.
- One acknowledgement: that you have read the issuer's disclosures, that you are eligible to trade these tokens and are not a resident of a restricted jurisdiction or subject to sanctions, and that you understand a stock token is issued by a third party and carries the rights and risks defined by its particular issuer.
Accept and get quote (in a pool ticket, Accept and review deposit or withdrawal; for a launch paired with a stock token, Accept and continue) records your answer against your wallet address together with the version of the text you accepted, then carries on with what you asked for. If the text or the country policy changes, you will be asked again. If your country is restricted, nothing is saved and trading stays unavailable in both Quick and OPmode, and in Pools. You can still browse markets and read these docs.
Robinhood Chain
Robinhood's stock tokens may not be offered to US persons, and their offer is restricted in Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Residents of Cuba, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, South Sudan, Sudan, Myanmar and Venezuela may not hold them. Robinhood's restricted jurisdictions page has the current list.
Before your first Robinhood Chain swap, the ticket shows Before your first Robinhood Chain swap: your country of residence and one acknowledgement, that you are not a US person, do not live where these tokens are restricted or prohibited, and have read Robinhood's terms. Accept keeps your answer on this browser. A restricted country cannot be accepted.
The disclosures
The five disclosures shown with the form explain what you are about to trade: separate issuers, the risks of trading and of providing liquidity, what your signature authorizes, the dollar pricing assumption, and checking a pending outcome before retrying. Anyone can read them at any time from Disclosures at the foot of the terminal and launch pages.
